Eligibility

Before applying, a visa seeker must cross-check whether they can meet Poland visa application requirements. Applicants should have the following eligibility in the primary step.

  • Having all the valid documents and an original passport is the basic thing to consider before getting a Poland visa.

General Documents for All Types of Poland Short-Term Visa

There are a few common documents that need to be submitted for all the short-term Poland visa types. The list of those documents is mentioned below.

  1. A completed and signed Poland visa application for Bangladeshi.

  2. Passport with at least two blank pages. It must be valid for at least 3 months after leaving for the Schengen territory.

  3. All previous passports. (Color photocopy of Bio-page of recent passport and all Schengen visas)

  4. One passport-size color photograph with full faces and light background(35 mm x 45 mm). The photo must be taken within six months.

  5. A cover letter from the applicant explains the purpose of the visit in detail.

  6. Letter from present employer/owner, stating the purpose of the Visit.

  7. Proof of financial means in the country of residence.

  8. Personal Bank statement, credit card statements, or balance covering the last six months complemented by any other proof of financial solvency.

  9. Documents related to the itinerary:

    1. Copy of the roundtrip airline reservation for Bangladeshi with Passenger Registration Number (or reservation number) and travel itinerary. If relevant, the entry permits for the next destination of the trip.

    2. In the case of Transit: Visa or other entry permit for the third country of destination, tickets for onward journey are required.

  10. Documents related to civil status:

    1. Marriage certificate for married applicants.

    2. Divorce certificate “Talak Namah” for divorced applicants.

    3. Death certificate for widows or widowers.

    4. Birth certificate for children.

Tourism/Visiting Family, or Friends/Family members of an EU/EEA citizen

Poland Visit visa requirements for Bangladeshi need additional documentation proof to submit at the consulate. These are also basic documents but not the common ones with other short-term visa types. Your Tourist and Family Visit visa required document is listed below.

  1. Health and Travel insurance’s original & photocopy.

  2. Visiting Family or Friends: Bangladesh to Poland Family visa requirements need proof of sponsorship including proof of family/ties with the sponsor, and the letter of invitation. For specific countries, additional supporting documentation might be needed as per the instruction.

  3. Hotel booking confirmation for the whole duration of the stay, or other documents proving accommodation.

  4. If employed by a company in Bangladesh: Certificate of employment mentioning,

    • Address, telephone, and fax number of the company

    • Name and position in the company of the countersigning officer

    • Name of applicant and position, salary, and number of years of service

    If self-employed:
    • Trade license issued by the City Corporation and Incorporation

    • Tin certificate

    • Company Bank statement for Six months. 

    If Student:
    • Proof of enrolment in an educational establishment in Bangladesh

    • Certificate of leave of absence if traveling during the school year. The certificate should mention the full address, telephone number, permission of absence, name, and function of the person granting Permission.

    • For school trips, a letter from the school mentioning the purpose, the duration, and the destination.

  5. If traveling with spouse and/ or children: Marriage certificate issued by a responsible authority. 

  6. Family members of an EU/EEA citizen:

    • There is an EU citizen from whom the visa applicant can derive any rights.

    • If the visa applicant is a Family member: a marriage certificate, birth certificate, proof of dependency, durability of partnership, and his identity (passport).

    • The visa applicant accompanies or joins an EU citizen-proof that the EU citizen already resides in the host Member State.

  7. Non-Bangladeshi applicants who have valid residence status in Bangladesh:

    • Bangladeshi Residence Permit valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen territory of the member states.

    • Proof of the intention of carrying out the onward journey: copy of continuation ticket or reservation.

    • Documentation about activity upon return in Bangladesh e.g. work contract or proof of enrollment in a university or school.

Poland Business visa requirements for Bangladeshi

Certain documents are specifically needed for only Poland Business Visit visas. Apart from the general documents, Business visa applicants need the documents listed below before visiting the consulate.

  1. Health and Travel insurance’s original & photocopy.

  2. Hotel confirmation or hotel voucher for the whole duration of the stay, or other documents proving accommodation.

  3. If Employed:

    • Letters of the company introducing the businessperson, purpose, and duration of the visits, financial cover of the visit, short company profile, etc.

    • Trade license of the company in Bangladesh and/or Memorandum of Articles of Association (if applicable)

  1. If self-employed:

    • trade license issued by the City Corporation and Incorporation certificate issued by the Office of Registrar of Joint Stock Company, if applicable

    • Income tax return

    • Company Bank statement for six months. 

  1. Invitation from the visited company: The letter should incorporate relevant personal data of the invited, length of the invitation, reason, and activity to develop in the Member State during the visit.

  2. Proof of recent business contacts: Evidence of former and current transactions in Bangladesh and/or abroad (bill of lading, receipts, contracts, correspondence).

  3. If commercial fairs or congress:

    • Proof of attendance through either letters of invitation from the organizer of the event, or payments of the registration fee.

    • Programme of the event.

Requirements for Political, scientific, cultural, sports, religious events or other reason

Like Business visits, certain documents are also mandatory for Bangladeshis for Political, scientific, cultural, sports, and religious events visas. The documents are given below.

  1. Health and Travel Insurance for Schengen (Original & Photocopy).

  2. Invitation letter from the organizer that should incorporate relevant personal data of the invited, length of the invitation, reason, and activity to develop in the Member State during the visit.

  3. Entry tickets or passes for events for which these are normally issued.

  4. Enrolments or programs, stating the name of the host organization and the length of stay or any other appropriate document indicating the purpose of the journey.

  5. Hotel confirmation for the whole duration of the stay or other documents proving accommodation.

  6. Payment of the registration fees when applicable.

  7. Sponsorship letter when applicable.

  8. If available any information confirming that the applicant has a specific background for undertaking the travel for these reasons.

  9. Where relevant, proof of enrolment for a (short) course in the Member State of destination.

Required Documents for Medical Visa

Medical visa applicants also have a few medical treatment-related documents. The documents must be collected before applying for a Poland Medical Treatment visa from Bangladesh. 

  1. Health and Travel insurance for Schengen (Original & Photocopy).

  2. An official document of the medical institution confirming the necessity for medical care in that institution

  3. Written confirmation of appointment with a hospital or medical doctor in the Member state

  4. Information regarding the estimated duration of the treatment.

  5. Proof of sufficient financial means to pay for the medical treatment and proof of prepayment if applicable.

Required Documents Airport Transit Visa

Airport Transit visas do not need a lot of documental proof like the other visas. With the general document, only one or two required documents are enough to pass the transit of Poland for Bangladeshi travelers. Here is the list:

  1. Valid visa for the country of next or final destination

  2. Proof of the intention of carrying out the onward journey: copy of continuation ticket or reservation.

Required Documents for Seafarer Visa

Like the airway, the sea path also requires some specific documents to enter Poland from Bangladesh. The documents are precisely mentioned below.

  1. Employment contract

  2. Photocopy of the working contract of the Seafarer to board the ship.

  3. Invitation letter from the maritime agency.

  4. Seamen Book

  5. Invitation from the maritime agency of the Member State where the sailor will join the boat. The invitation needs to be signed and with the seal of the agency and include the following data:

    1. Name and Family name of the Seafarer
    2. Place and date of birth, passport number, Seaman's book numberDate of issue, period of validity
    3. Position of the sailor on the boat (if there are many sailors, information can be included in a list signed and sealed, as an annex of the invitation letter).
    4. Date and airport of entry into the territory of the Member States
    5. Name of the boat
    6. Port of boarding
    7. Duration of the contract
    8. Itinerary that the seafarer will follow to arrive in the Member state of destination.
  1. In the letter of invitation, the maritime agency from the Member State should indicate the name and address of the Bangladeshi agency that collaborates with her or which will be in charge of presenting the visa applications or that will be in charge of taking care of the seafarer once he arrives in the Member State to transport him to the seaport to board.

  2. If the application is presented by a maritime agency of Bangladesh, a letter of invitation from the Bangladesh agency includes a list of the seafarers, which states their employment on the ship.

Requirements For Minor Children

There are a few additional documents needed for a short-term Poland visa for the Bangladeshi Minor children. These documents need to be collected along with the general documents and the specific types of documents.

  1. Consent of parents or custodians if both parents are not traveling together.

  2. Photocopy of passport of parents or legal guardian.

  3. Proof of economic means of parents or legal guardians from Bangladesh.

  4. The original birth certificate of the minor was issued by the responsible authority. 

National or Poland D visa requirements

The long-term visa category of Poland visa requires different documents for having a different purpose and consulate. Study, Work, and Dependent visas are included in Poland's Long-Term visa category. These 3 categories also have some common documents and singular documents to apply for the visas.

General Documents

These are the documents Bangladeshi visa applicants will need to apply for all types of Poland Long-term visas. 

  1. Passport- Bangladeshi passport should have been issued within the previous 10 years. The validity should extend at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen territory. It must have at least two blank pages.

  2. Visa Application and Photos:

    1. The visa application form must be signed twice by the applicant. The signature must match the one on the passport.

    2. Photo specifications: Two color photos, passport size, white background (35mm x 45mm), must be captured within 6 months

  3. Travel Medical Insurance (TMI)
    One copy of the certificate of TMI issued by a company from the list of approved insurance companies that meet the necessary conditions. Handwritten certificates will not be accepted, and the name of the insured should be written in the Latin alphabet. TMI must be valid in the Schengen area and for the entire duration of stay and its minimum coverage is 30.000 euros. TMI must cover the costs of any emergency medical treatment and repatriation for medical reasons as well as in case of death repatriation of the deceased.

  4. Passport Data Pages Copy
    One copy of the applicant's passport data pages (the first and the last one). Copy of the pages with Polish/Schengen visas, if issued. If the visas were in the previous passport – a copy of that passport’s data pages (the first and the last one).

Requirement of Poland Work Visa For Bangladeshi

Work visas are different from the other categories of visas. Bangladeshi applicants who are applying for a Poland Work visa must need to provide the listed documentation proofs.

  1. Flight Itinerary (Reservation Only) with date and place of the first entry.

  2. Documents confirming the purpose of the Trip:

    • Original and valid work permit and its copy.

    • Requirements regarding the costs of living and return travel to the country of origin or residence, as well as the purpose and duration of the planned stay.

    • Proof of registration of the employing company.

    • Original employment letter from the applicant's employer in Poland on the official company paper with stamp, signature, and date. It must mention the full address and contact details of the company, the name, and position of the countersigning officer. Also the details regarding the employment of the applicant (position, salary, estimated duration), and details regarding additional conditions of employment ( accommodation, transport, living expenses).

    • In case of international transfer of the employee: a letter from the current employer confirming the transfer, and approving the leave/absence of the applicant.

    • Supporting documents (optional):

      • Professional/educational certificates proving professional skills - copies and originals legalized/attested/apostille by MEA/MFA.

      • Work experience certificate - copies and originals.

      • Police Clearance Certificate. 

  3. Accommodation: A document confirming the booking of appropriate accommodation for the intended period of stay in Poland.

  4. Additional Documents: Applicants are allowed to submit additional documents that they consider useful to justify the trip.

  5. Residence proof- An ID confirming residence in the Embassy / Consulate’s jurisdiction.

Requirement of Poland Dependent Visa For Bangladeshi

Keeping the general must-have documents aside, Poland Dependent visa applicants also have some other required documents. These documents must be submitted at the consulate to get the visa approval with legal proof.

  1. A Cover letter.

  2. Document of the dependent Spouse or Children of the inviting party, employed or to be employed in Poland. 

  3. Invitation letter from the inviting party.

    • Official document confirming family ties. Please note that affidavits will not be considered official documents in this regard.

    • Proof of the residence validity of the inviting party (in Poland) for the whole period of the intended stay.

    • Accommodation – A copy of the document confirming the availability of appropriate accommodation for the intended period of stay in Poland.

    • Documents confirming the sufficient financial means to cover costs of living. Attaching one OR more of the following documents is mandatory: Traveler’s cheques, certificate of the amount of the credit card limit issued by the bank, certificate of availability of money in the Polish or European Union bank or a cooperative savings and loan association located in the territory of the Republic of Poland or European Union.

  4. Flight Itinerary (Reservation Only) with date.

  5. Residence Proof - An ID confirming residence in the Embassy / Consulate’s jurisdiction.


Requirements for Minor Children

There are a few additional documents needed for a long-term Poland visa for the Bangladeshi Minor children. These documents need to be collected along with the general documents and the specific types of documents.

  1. If a parent or guardian is absent during the visa application, they must provide a travel permission letter, legalized by MEA/MFA. If one parent has sole custody, a court order must be provided. At least one parent or guardian must be present for submission.

  2. Copy of identification documents with signature and photograph of the parents/guardians having custody/guardianship of the applicant.

  3. Birth certificate (if applicable, proof of legal guardianship) legalized/attested/apostille by MEA/MFA.
