Saudi Arabia has announced two major changes for Hajj 2025: a ban on children attending the event and new visa rules for visitors from 14 countries.

Children Not Allowed to Attend Hajj 2025 for Safety

To keep children safe during the busy event, Saudi Arabia has decided that no children will be allowed to attend Hajj in 2025. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed the decision, saying it is to protect young ones, especially in the crowded environment of the holy sites. “This step is to keep children safe and avoid any harm during the Hajj,” the Ministry said.

New Visa Rules for Visitors from 14 Countries

Along with the ban on children, Saudi Arabia is changing its visa rules for visitors from 14 countries, including Bangladesh. Starting February 1, 2025, people from these countries will only get single-entry visas for Hajj. The new rule is meant to stop people from entering Saudi Arabia without following the proper process, which leads to overcrowding. The visas will be valid for 30 days and will expire once the traveler leaves the country.
