Namibia introduced a new e-visa system on March 3, 2025. The goal of this step is to speed up entry, reduce border delays, and create a smoother travel experience.

Previously, travelers from the 33 affected countries, including the UK, the US, and Canada, did not need a visa to enter Namibia. The change was made based on reciprocity, where Namibia now requires visas from these countries in response to their visa policies for Namibian citizens.

The Namibia e-visa is valid for 30 days and allows multiple entries. It can be used at 12 main entry points, including Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport, Walvis Bay, and major land borders with South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Angola.

At the border, travelers must present their required documents. If traveling with children, a birth certificate or parental consent letter is required.
