A brand-new “Gold Card” visa is on the way: personally announced by Donald Trump and being built by Elon Musk’s tech team. For a price of $5 million, this premium visa could offer fast-track US residency in just two weeks!

President Donald Trump is launching a new immigration program called the “Gold Card,” aimed at attracting rich foreigners willing to invest $5 million. This visa will offer a quicker path to US residency and is set to replace the existing EB-5 visa, which currently requires investments between $800,000 and $1.05 million and a long approval time.

The tech behind the Gold Card is being developed by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), with a new website and application system currently in progress. The project is led by Marko Elez and 19-year-old Edward Coristine, who are working with US immigration departments to speed up the process, possibly granting residency approval within just two weeks of applying.

Trump recently showed off the card’s design, featuring his face, the Statue of Liberty, and a bald eagle, saying it would be ready in “less than two weeks.” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick even claimed that 1,000 Gold Cards have already been sold, although no financial proof has been shared. He confirmed Musk’s team is building the system and said the program will launch very soon.
