The Belgium Embassy in India has announced that as of 16 September 2025, Sweden will no longer accept Belgium visa applications from Bangladesh. For now, applicants must submit their forms through VFS Global in New Delhi, with a Dhaka facility opening soon.
The Belgium Embassy in India has announced that as of 16 September 2025, Sweden no longer accepts Belgium visa applications from Bangladesh. For now, applicants must submit their forms through VFS Global in New Delhi, with a Dhaka facility opening soon.
Previously, short-term Belgium visas for Bangladeshis were handled by the Swedish Visa Application Center, and long-term visas by the Belgium Visa Application Center in India, with both requiring in-person submissions.
Under the new arrangement, all applications are temporarily submitted at the VFS office in New Delhi for one month. The Embassy has confirmed that, very soon, applicants will be able to submit their documents directly in Dhaka, with the official opening date to be announced on its social media channels.
