People from Hong Kong can now visit Qatar without a visa. If you have a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) passport, you can stay in Qatar for up to 30 days without filling out any visa forms. This new rule has already started.
Earlier, Hong Kong citizens had to get a free visa on arrival. Now, no visa is needed at all, making travel simpler and faster. Qatari citizens already enjoy the same visa-free access to Hong Kong.
The Chief Executive of Hong Kong, John Lee, shared this news during his visit to Qatar. He said the change will make travel easier and help strengthen ties between the two places.
During his trip, he met with Qatari leaders and talked about working together in trade, tourism, and technology. He also said both sides are planning more deals in business and tax, and that Hong Kong is becoming more friendly to Muslim visitors.
