Long-stay work visa:

For those looking to stay longer, this option is for you. These work visas allow Bangladeshi citizens to live and work in New Zealand for over 3 years. This is ideal for professed professionals or those with long-term job offers in the country. 

New Zealand work visa costs are as per the applicant's specific profession. In this case, the short-stay work visa costs around BDT 47,150. On the other hand, the long-stay work permit costs around BDT 91,270. Remember, this is not a consistent amount visa fee. The applicant’s specific purpose will determine how much he/she needs to pay for their visa. 

New Zealand work visa processing time is different for different core types. The post-study work visa and working holiday visa take around 5 working days. But a partner of a worker with a work visa takes 8 weeks. The longest time consumes an accredited employer work visa. It takes around 10 weeks to come up with a decision.

Step 1: The first step is completed fully online. You need to create a Realme account on the New Zealand immigration website. Then, log in to start.

Step 2: Find out your work visa application and provide the necessary information. 

Step 3: In the online application, provide the necessary documents that are properly translated. It should be notarized too. After finishing, please recheck and submit your application online. And here, the online phase ends.

Step 4: Now, the applicant needs to go to the New Zealand High Commission in India. This is because the applicant’s passport needs to be verified by the immigration office personally. You can send your authorized representative to verify on behalf of you. 

Step 6: Collect your passport once the verification is complete.

A Bangladeshi whose New Zealand work visa gets rejected can appeal. Applicants usually get to know about their refusal through the refusal letter. The time for lodging appeals is 14 days, together with an appeal fee for the application.

Applicants may also choose to reapply for their visa. This fresh visa application requires you to pay the visa fee again. Remember, the success of the visa application relies heavily on proper documentation. So, make your documents right before you reapply.

If you want to extend your NZ work visa, you are eligible to do that for specific purposes. You need to contact NZ immigration to complete this process. You can extend the working holiday visa for another 3 months. Additional fees and review time will be needed for this extension process.
