Ireland provides two categories of work visas for Bangladeshis. The A1 category is for those skilled workers who want to work in Ireland for up to 90 days. This category includes healthcare, research, or urgent specialized jobs. On the other hand, the A2 skilled visa is obtained to work for a longer period. With this visa, you can stay in Ireland for more than 90 days. The purpose can be contract work or projects.

  4. Collect required documents, checklist, and visa fee receipt.

  5. Translate all the collected documents into English and notarize them. 

  6. Visit the Ireland Embassy in India and submit the documents. Your authorized representative can also submit this for you.

  7. Let the tentative visa processing time pass to get the visa decision.

Ireland work visa has to category in terms of processing. Category a visa takes less time to process. The processing time for Ireland Employment visa category A is 20 working days. On the other hand, a Category-B visa takes double the time to process than a Category-A. The Category-B Employment visa takes 40 working days to process. So, an applicant should calculate the processing time before applying for their visa. Otherwise, their planned trip can be delayed.

If your Ireland work visa gets refused, you will get a refusal letter from the Ireland Embassy. The refusal letter will state whether you can appeal against the decision. Once you appeal, you need to wait 2 to 3 calendar months to get your changed decision.

If Bangladeshis want to extend their Ireland work visa, they can do it. The long-stay work visa can be extended for up to 5 years. It allows applicants to apply for permanent residence later on. For the extension, they need to contact the local Immigration office. Ireland Immigration will check their updated documents and will inform them whether they can extend or not.
