IRCC has released an updated list of study programs eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit. The new requirements simplify the process and only specifically qualified graduates can benefit from this.

Some changes to Canada’s Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program will take effect from November 1, 2024. This program is crucial for graduate international students who are seeking work experience in Canada. However, the core eligibility criteria for the PGWP program will remain unchanged for many international students. The newly introduced eligibility requirements are based on the applicant’s education. The changes happened mostly in the applicant's language proficiency and field of study sector.

The current rules are still applicable if you apply for Canada PGWP before November. From November 1, the new criteria will be enforced.
